Whether it’s catastrophic weather events, energy scarcity or earthquakes, the only certain thing in this world is that things can and do change, often without warning.

Listen to first-hand experience of the problems that arise when businesses can’t operate, and practical, common sense actions that all businesses can and should act upon.

Programme:

Paul Lonsdale will talk on how Christchurch businesses have coped, or not, as a result of the earthquakes and how the Central City Business Association is helping their members recover.

Carol Taplin is a local enterprise facilitator and will share practical, common sense actions that all businesses can and should act upon, including possible mitigation strategies for managing the unmanageable – from the mundane to the innovative.

Representatives from the Nelson Chamber of Commerce, the Sustainable Business Network, the Economic Development Agency and the Nelson Environment Centre will give a brief overview as to what expertise is available locally.
