On Thursday, 10th June 2010 the Home Energy Centre hosted a class of primary school students from Hampden Street School.

As part of a school project on energy saving and sustainability, the students conducted heat retention experiments with soft drink bottles filled with water which were wrapped with a range of different insulation products to test temperature readings.

The students then gathered information from the Centre’s exhibitors to use in their house design model projects. The students were free to interact with the displayed products for their projects which was not only educational but an enjoyable experience by all.
