Tasman and Marlborough district councils are offering homeowners an alternative way to purchase insulation.
Homeowners will still qualify for an EECA grant of up to 33% off the cost of their insulation.
To help pay the balance, you can now apply to council for a voluntary targeted rate. This is paid back with interest over a 9 year period. First payment will not be deducted until the new rating year.
How to warm up your home in 4 easy steps:
- Contact AbsoluteEnergy to arrange a free assessment of your home.
- AbsoluteEnergy will provide you with a written quote detailing the products best suited to your home. This will show you the amount you are required to pay after your EECA grant has been deducted.
- AbsoluteEnergy will assist with completing the application forms required for council funding.
- Once your funding is confirmed, your home will be fitted with insulation for you to enjoy a warmer, healthier home.
The targeted rates scheme will also provide funding towards a clean heating system.
